  There are several types of closets. While some are used as intended, many simply become places to stash items. If one closet is packed, it's likely that the others are as well. The best way to address this is to completely empty each closet and take time to sort through the contents. This involves purging unnecessary items, consolidating similar items, and using storage containers. It's also helpful to use a uniform type of hanger throughout the closet, get creative with shoe storage, and keep the floors clear. Additionally, consider adding some inexpensive shelving for better organization. I frequently receive requests for closet organizing, and I've encountered every conceivable situation. I'm an expert in this area! 

 My face lights up when I see out-of-control craft and toy areas! It’s so much fun to organize! It’s best to get this under control when the kids are very young. The world is becoming increasingly complex. It is difficult to maneuver without basic organizing skills, IMO. Creating systems will teach them to appreciate order and is an opportunity for them to learn new skills. I will show you how to manage their art projects, deal with those pesky Legos, and create a quiet place for them to create. 

  I always highly recommend clients create a memorabilia box for the family, or for the adults v. the children. You will thank me! 😊You can’t imagine how many things you have that qualify to go into that box – photos, certificates, medals, letters/cards, mementos, old passports, graduation gown/cap, art.  Going forward, now you have a dedicated place for your keepsakes. And going down memory lane will be a rewarding experience. 

I love working in kitchens and pantries. My kitchen is designed to be user-friendly, with everything conveniently within reach. It has taken a long time to get it just the way I like it. When preparing meals, there’s nothing worse than having to dig around to find a gadget, the right-sized container, or the perfect pot.   A good starting point is to purge items you no longer need, followed by consolidating similar items together. If you cook Asian cuisine frequently, for example, I would recommend organizing your spices, sauces, and grains into containers.  Many clients have issues with piles of mail and paper, causing lots of stress. Most mail is junk and can be quickly sorted out and recycled. A lot of the paper is extraneous and can also be recycled. What’s left is a tidy, much less intimidating pile. Some clients are satisfied with that. Others ask me to continue on and sort the mail and papers by category. I will then leave the organized mail for the client to address. As for papers, I can make folders by date and category and update the current file system, or create a new system altogether. I’m good with paper!
